The older castle Rhena , including Upper Castle called, is an Outbound hilltop castle on the "Klepp Mountain" (Church Hill) at 437  m above sea level. NN behind the church of the Rhena district of the district town of Korbach in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in Hesse .

The castle was the first castle built by the Lords of Rhena and was first mentioned in 1235. Presumably it was destroyed or demolished in 1755. The castle stalls no longer show any remains.
