The Norf train station is a suburban train station of the city of Neuss on the left Lower Rhine route .
location
The breakpoint is between the Neuss districts of Norf and Derikum. The lines stopping here make it a traffic junction in the south of Neuss (not to be confused with Neuss Süd, which means the southern districts of Dreikönigenviertel and Pomona), including the districts of Gnadental, Erfttal, Grimlinghausen and Uedesheim. In addition, line 878 is used to connect to Grevenbroich station and thus to the Rhein-Erft district and line 827 to the south of Düsseldorf .
history
The station forecourt was built as early as 1855 to mark the opening of the left Lower Rhine route. After the incorporation of the city of Norf into the city of Neuss, the name was retained and not renamed Neuss-Norf. Since 1985, the Norfer Bahnhof has been served by the S 11 line of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn .
Lines
The station is currently served by one S-Bahn line and five bus lines (line 878 as a minibus):

Planning
Since the location of the Norfer Bahnhof could be a much more important station than it currently is, the city of Neuss decided in its traffic development plan to run several bus routes through the area around Norf in order to connect other parts of the city to the Norfer Bahnhof.
Are planned:
- a bus line every 20 minutes (at rush hour ) from Norf via Taubental, Grimlinghausen and Gnadental, bypassing the normal bus route in the city center via the Europadamm at the port to the main station.
- Extension of bus line 844 to Norf
- a bus line from Uedesheim, Taubental, Norf, Hoisten, Weckhoven, Reuschenberg to Holzheim (implementation unlikely)
