The Düsseldorf-Derendorf stop is about four kilometers north of Düsseldorf Central Station in the Derendorf district of Düsseldorf . It is located on the Cologne – Duisburg railway line and belongs to station category 4. In addition to the S-Bahn that runs to the stop, several tram and bus lines run from the Düsseldorf-Derendorf (S) stop.
history
This stop, which has existed since 1936 (abbreviation in the KDDH directory of operations ), should not be confused with the former Düsseldorf-Derendorf station further south (abbreviation KDD ), which was a freight , shunting and, until 1936, passenger station on the Cologne-Duisburg railway line and before that as Düsseldorf railway station was the western terminus of the Düsseldorf-Derendorf – Dortmund Süd railway line operated by the Rheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft .

The breakpoint is centrally located between the districts Derendorf , Düsseltal and Mörsenbroich . The new campus of the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences extends to the west .
The stop is located immediately north of the bridge on which Münsterstrasse crosses the railway system. It has a central platform with access from the bridge, on which the bus and tram stops are also located.
The Liststraße access was closed in 2013 for the purpose of modernization and, according to official plans, should be reopened by the end of 2014. However, this has not happened to date (as of January 2020).
