The breakpoint Dusseldorf-Eller South is located about five kilometers south of Düsseldorf main station in Düsseldorf district of Eller . It is located on the Cologne – Duisburg railway line and belongs to station category 5. The Düsseldorf-Eller Süd stop is next to the stop for the Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn and several bus lines.
location
The breakpoint is centrally located between the districts of Düsseldorf-Wersten , Düsseldorf-Eller and Düsseldorf-Oberbilk . It has a central platform and is in an elevated position above Karlsruher Strasse. The access is at the underpass between Sturmstrasse and Konradstrasse.
history
In 1967 the S-Bahn line between Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof and Düsseldorf-Garath was put into operation. In this context, the Düsseldorf Eller-Süd stop was reopened. As part of Deutsche Bahn's modernization offensive 2 for stations in North Rhine-Westphalia (MOF 2), the Eller-Süd stop was renovated and rebuilt in May and June 2012 for 2.17 million euros.
