Baseball Bundesliga 1985
The Baseball Bundesliga 1985 was the second season of the Baseball Bundesliga . Unlike in the previous year and as usual today, it was only played as a single-track Bundesliga, in addition, no play-offs for the title of the German champions were played, but the championship after the regular season, in which each team four times against each other team played finished.
As in the previous year, the Mannheim Tornados were champions with three wins ahead of the Cologne Cardinals.
Competition mode and participants
In the baseball Bundesliga 1985 only seven teams started, so that a division into two leagues was not profitable. Although teams from all over Germany could theoretically take part, the participating teams came from the Cologne area , Baden-Württemberg and Wiesbaden .
Five teams from the previous season took part, in addition to the Mannheim Tornados, these were the two Cologne clubs Cardinals and Dodgers, the Zülpich Eagles and the Filderstadt Flyers.
