The 2013 German Baseball Bundesliga was the 30th season of the Baseball Bundesliga . The regular season started on April 12, 2013 with the game Buchbinder Legionaries against the Stuttgart Reds and ended on August 17. From August 24th to October 3rd, the German champions were determined in the playoffs and the relegated teams in the playdowns. As in the previous year, the Buchbinder legionaries started the season as defending champions . The Tübingen Hawks were the only new team in the 1st Bundesliga. The actual relegated from the 1st Bundesliga North, the Dohren Wild Farmers, remained in the 1st division. Thus, both divisions played completely with 8 teams each.
