Beamish Buggies is a South African manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Cape Town company began producing automobiles and kit cars in 1975 . The brand name is Beamish . Beetle Bits imported about twelve copies to the UK between 2000 and 2001 . According to the company, around 1000 complete vehicles and around 1000 kits have been built so far.

VW buggies are on offer . The basis is the chassis of the VW Beetle . An open body made of fiberglass is mounted on it.
