Dart Engineering cc was a South African automobile manufacturer founded by Les Hayden in 1996 .

In 1984, Hayden made his first replica of an AC Cobra . According to their own statements, several hundred right-hand and left-hand drive vehicles were created by Hayden and a licensee over the next few years. In 1996, Hayden founded Dart Engineering cc in Cape Town , which offered two models. Production ended in 2003.
Models
With the Hayden 427 , the company continued to offer a Cobra replica. The vehicle was available with a V8 engine from Ford or Chevrolet and with a manual or automatic transmission. The vehicles had a wheelbase of 231 cm and weighed around 1200 kg.
The second model was the Hayden Dart , a replica of the GSM Dart manufactured by Glass Sports Motor from 1997 or 1998 . The vehicle had been technically modernized compared to the original. One source mentions wider fenders , integrated bumpers and a front spoiler . The model was made in Montague Gardens .
There was the Hayden Dart with a four-cylinder engine with 1600 cm³ displacement and a choice of four- or five-speed gearbox, with a larger four-cylinder engine with 2000 cm³ displacement and five-speed gearbox and with a V6 engine with 3000 cm³ displacement and five-speed gearbox.
According to Les Hayden, around 35 copies were made.
