Fiberglass Designs , previously Kango Cars , was a South African manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Johannesburg-based company began producing automobiles in the 1990s. The brand name was Fiberglass Designs . Production ended in 2002. For the years 2000 to 2002, 15 complete vehicles have been delivered.

The most important model series was the Kango . This was a VW buggy on the chassis of the VW Beetle . The Kombi Estate and the panel van Wagon were also based on it. The Silhouette recreational car had a chassis and engines from VW Golf that it had produced itself . The Veep was similar to the Jeep CJ . Another model was similar to the Model T Ford .
