Steve's Buggies was a South African manufacturer of automobiles and kit cars .
Company history
The company was founded in Amanzimtoti in 1983 to produce automobiles. The brand name was Steve's Buggies . Production ended when Gobex took over the company. That was 2006 or 2007, depending on the source.
vehicles
Most of the offerings were VW buggies based on the chassis of the VW Beetle . The Jasper had the uncut chassis with a 240 cm wheelbase , while the Scorpio was shortened to 200 cm. Another 203 cm wheelbase model was similar to the Jeep CJ .
