Auto Hahn was a South African manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The East London company headed by Messrs Hahn and Schenkie manufactured automobiles. The brand name was Hahn . One source gives the production period imprecisely as 1970s, another precisely as 1974. A total of six vehicles and a seventh body were built.

The only GT model largely corresponded to the Fiberfab FT Bonito from Fiberfab Inc. The chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis. A fiberglass coupé body was mounted on top. The new price for the vehicles was around 4500 Rand, around 80% higher than the price for a VW Beetle.

As far as is known, one vehicle was destroyed in a fire . There are still three complete vehicles and two vehicles in parts.
