Attractions

  • The 12th century church of Notre-Dame was originally part of an Augustinian abbey donated by one of the Lords of Beaujeu . The representations of the deadly sins on the capitals in the nave deserve special attention; as are the geometric motifs on the Romanesque portal of the actually Gothic church. The church received its tower in the 13th century.

Town twinning

  • The city of Belleville has been twinning with the German city of Salzkotten in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1991 . Every year, mostly in May, meetings of citizens, associations and institutions take place, in which every interested citizen from Salzkotten can take part.
