geography
Along with the Rotte Welzelach and the individual settlements Lipper and March, Berg is one of the four parts of the Welzelach fraction. Berg is 1,335 meters high above the Isel Gorge and is connected to Rotte Welzelach to the south by a road. history
For a long time, Statistics Austria did not specifically mention Berg, but included it in Welzelach's account. Rain was only shown separately in the course of the 1951 census, with the local part at that time consisting of four houses with 16 residents. In 1961, only three houses with 17 residents were reported by the statisticians for Berg. In 1971 there were three buildings and 13 residents in Berg; in 1981 there were also three buildings, with three inhabited buildings with a total of 14 residents being reported. In 1991 the statistics finally showed three buildings with 15 residents. Most recently, Statistics Austria named Berg as part of Welzelach, but no further data was reported.
