Berg is a municipality ( Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Jämtlands län and the historic provinces of Härjedalen and Jämtland . The main town of the municipality is Svenstavik .

The municipality of Berg is one of Sweden's larger municipalities in terms of area and extends from the southern foothills of Lake Storsjön 135 kilometers west to the Norwegian border. The community is mostly in the Scandinavian Mountains . The highest point is the summit Helagsfjället with a height of 1,796 meters.
economy
With an employment rate of 7% (Reichs average 2%), agriculture and forestry are of above-average importance. The municipality is weakly industrialized, mainly small businesses, while tourism plays an important role.
