history
The tribe series begins with the mayor of Ohrdruf Johann Berger († 1645). Johann Heinrich Berger (1657-1732) was on May 31, 1717 Vienna with the title Knight and Noble Mr. Berger in the kingdom knighthood raised . His brothers Johann Gottfried Berger (1659–1736) and Johann Wilhelm Berger (1672–1751) became Imperial Knights on January 31, 1722. The brothers Johann Just von Berger (1723–1791) and Valentin von Berger (1739–1813) received the Danish nobility naturalization in 1776 .

The coat of arms (1717) is quartered with a grafted golden tip , in it an ibex standing on green ground ; fields one and four show two upright, intertwined snakes on red ; in fields two and three in gold a crowned half eagle emerging from the line of division . Two crowned helmets : in the front with red and gold covers the ibex between an open black flight , behind with black and silver covers a growing crowned golden lion .
