Bettina Kudla Irene (* 20th July 1962 in Munich ) is a German politician of the CDU . From 2009 to 2017 she was a member of the Bundestag .

Life

Bettina Kudla graduated from high school in 1981 and studied business administration at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1981 to 1988 . After graduating as a business graduate , she worked as an auditor and tax advisor in Halle (Saale) at the auditing company Deloitte & Touche until 2004 .

In 2004, Kudla moved to the Rosenheim city ​​administration as a treasurer . Since May 1, 2005, Kudla was mayor and councilor for finances of the city of Leipzig . In her capacity as a member of the Bundestag, she is a member of the district executive committee of the CDU Leipzig.

For the Bundestag election on September 27, 2009 , Kudla ran for the Leipzig CDU as a direct candidate in the Bundestag constituency of Leipzig I and was elected to the German Bundestag with 33.3% of the first votes and re-elected with 40.0% in the 2013 Bundestag election. The CDU members in her constituency did not re- elect Kudla as a direct candidate for the 2017 federal election. It was defeated by the former racing cyclist Jens Lehmann .
