Bobby Bolt (born April 29, 1987 in Thunder Bay , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Allen Americans from the Central Hockey League .

Career

Bobby Bolt was initially active for the lower-class ice hockey team Thunder Bay Kings in his hometown, where the offensive player ran together with the later NHL players Tom Pyatt and Marc Staal . In the 2003/04 season, the Canadian played primarily for the Strathroy Rockets in the Western Ontario Hockey League and also completed eight games for the London Knights from the top junior Ontario Hockey League , with the left-shooter scoring one goal. Before the beginning of the following season, Bolt was transferred to the Kingston Frontenacs together with Adam Nemeth in exchange for Bryan Rodney , where he fought for a regular place during the same season.

In the 2005 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the fifth round at a total of 127th position by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim . The attacker was with the Frontenacs for two more years and completed his statistically most successful season in the 2006/07 season, when he scored a total of 56 scorer points in 67 games. In the same season Bolt was also in five games for the Portland Pirates , a then farm team of the now in Anaheim Ducks renamed franchises in the American Hockey League in use.

In the following year he went for the Augusta Lynx - another farm team of the Californian organization - in the ECHL and played four games for the Portland Pirates. For the 2008/09 season , Bolt was included in the roster of the Bakersfield Condors after the Anaheim Ducks had ended their cooperation with the Augusta Lynx. There he found himself mostly on the bench. After he did not get beyond the status of a substitute player due to injury in the following season, the attacker was ordered by the Anaheim Ducks to the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the International Hockey League . In the Muskegon franchise , he completed 73 IHL games as a regular by the end of the season. After the franchise ceased gaming operations in the summer of 2010, Bolt was initially without a club.

Before the start of the 2010/11 season , the winger received a contract with the Allen Americans from the Central Hockey League , but was removed from the squad after the preparatory phase was completed in October 2010 and the ongoing contract was prematurely terminated.
