Joachim Gauger from laut.de rated the album with two out of a possible five points. It was "made with a lot of love" and "the few as yet unknown samples of Biggie's always punchy staccato rap style" were supplemented by the best East Coast rappers. However, “NEW tracks or melodies are unfortunately not to be found,” which makes Born Again seem like “corpse-busting”.
