Brian is a masculine given name primarily used in English-speaking countries.

Origin and meaning

The name Brian is of Celtic origin and means "high", "noble". He is popular in Ireland because of the warrior and high king Brian Boru (940-1014). The name was also spread in England and Scotland by Irish immigrants.
