The 1927 stamp year of the Deutsche Reichspost comprised seven special stamps and one definitive stamp , which appeared as a supplement to the series Heads of Famous Germans from 1926 . Four of the special stamps had a surcharge , although the surcharge value was not stated on the stamp. The three remaining stamps came from the definitive series Heads of Famous Germans , which were provided with a two-line imprint ("IAA / 10-15.10.1927") on the occasion of the meeting of the International Labor Office in Berlin . These stamps were only valid for a month and a half.
There were also the first eight official stamps of the new straw hat pattern series.
