800 years of Lübeck |
The 1943 stamp year of the Deutsche Reichspost comprised 36 special stamps , all of which had a surcharge . Definitive stamps were not issued this year. There is no reliable information on the circulation of the stamps . Due to the war, the Reich Post Ministry decided to keep all stamps in effect until further notice . The stamps were therefore valid until the surrender in May 1945 . For this year, the use of a collector's ID for special stamps has been proven for the first time .
