Heads of famous Germans
Heads of Famous Germans was a permanent series of stamps issued by the Deutsche Reichspost on November 1, 1926 ; a supplementary value followed in 1927 . On October 10, 1927, at the meeting of the International Labor Office in Berlin, three values were provided with a two-line label ("IAA / October 10–15 , 1927 ") and issued as a special temporary edition .
Printing process and validity
The stamps were made in the letterpress process on coated paper with the watermark 2 waffles , the comb perforation is 14:14 1/4. There is no reliable information on the circulation of definitive stamps.
The 13 definitive stamps were valid until June 30, 1933, the three special stamps from October 10, 1927 only until November 30, 1927.
In order to prevent the misuse of the trademarks, authorities and companies were allowed to punch holes in the acquired trademarks .
