The Buffalo Township is one of 24 townships in Ogle County in the north of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

Buffalo Township is located in northern Illinois around 60 km south of the Wisconsin border . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , is about 55 km to the west.

Buffalo Township is located in the mid-southwest of Ogle County and is bordered to the north by Lincoln Township , to the northeast by Mount Morris Township , to the east by Pine Creek Township , to the south by Woosung Township , to the west by Eagle Point Township and to the northwest to Brookville Township .

US Highway 52 runs through the township and meets Illinois State Route 26 there . All other roads are county highways as well as subordinate and partly unpaved roads.
