The Woosung Township is one of 24 townships in Ogle County in the north of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

Woosung Township is located in northern Illinois around 65 km south of the Wisconsin border . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , is about 50 km to the west.
The Woosung Township lies at 41 ° 55'25 "north latitude and 89 ° 34'27" west longitude and extends over 45.84 km².
The Woosung Township is located in the extreme southwest of Ogle County and is bordered to the south by the Lee and to the west by Whiteside County . Within Ogle County, Woosung Township is bordered to the northwest by Eagle Point Township , to the north by Buffalo Township , to the northeast by Pine Creek Township and to the east by Grand Detour Township .

US Highway 52 and Illinois State Route 26 run through the township . All other roads are county highways as well as subordinate and partly unpaved roads.
