The Pine Rock Township is one of 24 townships in Ogle County in the north of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

The Pine Rock Township is located in northern Illinois around 140 km west of Chicago . The Wisconsin border runs approximately 70 km north; the Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , is about 85 km to the west.

The Pine Rock Township is located in the south-center of Ogle County, bordered to the north by the Marion Township , on the northeast by the White Rock Township , on the southeast by the Flagg Township , on the south by the LaFayette Township , on the southwest by the Taylor Township , in West to Oregon-Nashua Township and northwest to Rockvale Township .

Illinois State Route 64 runs through the township and runs in a west-east direction . All other roads are county highways as well as subordinate and partly unpaved roads.

In a southeast-northwest direction runs through the Pine Rock Township a railway line of the BNSF Railway , which leads from Chicago to the west.

The nearest airport is Rochelle Municipal Airport , located around 20 km southeast of the township ; the nearest major airport is Chicago Rockford International Airport , located around 30 km north-northeast on the southern outskirts of Rockford .
