About 100 meters south of the Falkenstein castle ruins is the listed Dettweiler-Tempel lookout point . 1896 this was in honor of Peter Dettweiler by means of the Frankfurt Taunus clubs built and the Falkensteiner sanatorium on the so-called "Devil's Pulpit" or "Huchlay". From here the view extends over Wetterau and Vogelsberg in the northeast, Frankfurt and the surrounding towns, the Spessart in the east and the Odenwald in the south.

In the second half of the 19th century, a number of other resting and viewing temples were built next to the Dettweiler temple. So the Hilda temple and the Adolftempel as well as the "Dörches Häuschen". However, these structures no longer exist.
