The C-FILMS AG is a Swiss film production company.
history
In 1999, C-Films split off from Condor Films , which only resumed its feature film activities in 2002, while C-Films focuses exclusively on productions with fictional content. The company operated the largest film studios in Switzerland in Glattfelden , the Glattfelden film studios . For eight years, the sets of the television soap Lüthi and Blanc were set up there on almost 4,000 m² and could be viewed during the breaks.
C-Films AG, based in Zurich, is active nationally and internationally in the development and production of cinema, television, documentary films and series. In Hamburg it is represented by the German company C-Films (Deutschland) GmbH.
The management consists of the producers and owners Peter Reichenbach and Anne Walser as well as the managing director Roland Stebler. Benjamin Seikel is the managing director of C-Films (Deutschland) GmbH.
The films of C-Films AG have won numerous awards and prizes at home and abroad, including a. the Swiss film award for the "best feature film" ("Azzurro", "Mein Name ist Eugen", "Der Goalie bin ig") and "Best Actor" ("Big Deal", "Füür oder Flamme", "Der Verdingbub", “Der Goalie bin ig”), numerous audience awards and awards at international festivals (including “Goldener Leopard” 2000, best actor in the film “Azzurro”, Paolo Villaggio), the German Film Prize for the co-production “Dasreal Leben”, awards in various Categories of the German Television Award (“Das Mädchen aus der Fremde”, “The Manns - A Century Novel”, “In the Name of God”) and the International Emmy Award for the co-productions “In the Name of God” and “Die Manns - Ein Century novel ". With Ewige Jugend (Youth) by director Paolo Sorrentino , C-Films co-produced a film that has won several international awards.
The productions "Mein Name ist Eugen", "Grounding - the last days of Swissair", "Der Verdingbub", "Nachtzug nach Lisboa" and "Der Goalie bin ig" are also among the greatest box office successes of the new Swiss Film history.
