The 1962 Cadre 71/2 World Championship was the twelfth Cadre 71/2 World Championship. The tournament took place from October 10th to 14th, 1962 in Oberhausen . It was the third Cadre 71/2 World Championship in Germany.
history
At his first Cadre 71/2 World Championship, the Belgian Laurent Boulanger won the title. With only one draw in 13 recordings in the first game against his compatriot Joseph Vervest , he won the remaining seven games. Verbest improved the world record in general average (GD) of Emile Wafflard to 30.23 . The third-placed Dutchman Henk Scholte achieved the highest series of the tournament . For the German surprise champion Joachim Eiter, the tournament ended in sixth place.

A final round in the round robin system up to 300 points was played. In the event of a tie in the MPs, the following order is taken:
