Carl Prekopp

Carl James Prekopp (born May 25, 1979 in Sheffield , England ) is a British actor and radio play speaker .

Career

Prekopp was the spokesperson for the radio play productions of the radio stations BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4 , often directed by Ned Chaillet and Toby Swift . For the radio adaptations of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels , he spoke the eponymous character in Mort , Brutha in Small Gods , and the young Sam Vimes in Night Watch . In 2005, Prekopp appeared as Traddles in Jeremy Mortimer's radio production of Charles Dickens David Copperfield . In 2012 he spoke the spirit being Ariel in Mortimer's adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Tempest . Carl Prekopp also directed Suzanne Heathcote's radio play production Taken . For his work as a speaker he received the 2001 Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award from the British Broadcasting Corporation .

He also appeared in theater productions. For Riverside Studios he stood as Richard III. on stage. Prekopp also played the role of Lawrence in the play Calendar Girls by well-known playwright and screenwriter Tim Firth . For the Royal Shakespeare Company , Prekopp played William III of England and Daniel Defoe in Helen Edmundson's play Queen Anne from 2015 to 2016 .

He still had guest roles in several British crime series , including Law & Order: UK , Inspector Lewis and Hard Sun . He also appeared in short films . He starred in Monday Morning , Lover's Lane , Frozen Songs and Two People, One Ring . In 2012 he had an appearance in Short The Actress with Sadie Frost in the lead role. He was also seen in a supporting role in the short film Home with Jack O'Connell and Holliday Grainger in 2016.

In 2014, he voiced Lyman Lannister in the video game Game of Thrones , which is based on George RR Martin's book A Song of Ice and Fire and the HBO television series Game of Thrones of the same name . He could also be heard in the video games Risen 3: Titan Lords , Horizon Zero Dawn and The Pillars of the Earth .

Since 2015 he is talking about the role of Billy Connolly in the English-language radio drama series John Sinclair - Demon Hunter , on the German pulp novel series Geisterjäger John Sinclair of Jason Dark is based.

Prekopp is also the singer and songwriter for the band The Fircones .
