Carol Weymuller Open 1996

The 1996 Carol Weymuller Open took place October 25-28 , 1996 in Brooklyn , New York City , United States . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 1996/97 .

Last year's winner was Michelle Martin , who was eliminated in the semifinals against Cassie Jackman . Jackman also won the final game against Liz Irving , which ended 10-8, 9-6 and 9-2 in favor of Jackman.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of whom were qualifiers. The best eight players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
