action

The German archaeologist Christian roams in search of clues for the missing Amber Room South America and browsing in Venezuelan Caracas the submerged NS -Offizier Karl Fuchs on who was responsible at the time for the removal of the artwork. The now terminally ill man dies in front of her eyes, but Christin finds a clue in him in the form of a hidden chain pendant. What Christin does not suspect: both she and Fuchs are watched by mysterious men who want to get the pendant at all costs. Christin manages to escape, but the killers can intercept her and put her on a plane to Germany.

In the air, Christin finally manages not only to get the trailer back, but also to escape the predicament by jumping with a parachute. She ends up in the middle of the Black Forest and is found by Vincent , a former stuntman who has now withdrawn from professional and social life and works as a cone picker. For the hermit who does not care about worldly things, Christian is initially more of a disruptive factor and he quickly helps her back to civilization. In the meantime, however, the killers around their mysterious boss called “Colonel” have tracked down Christin's crash site and want to take the pendant. Vincent barely escapes an attempted murder, but now knows their next target: Christian. In Munich, Professor Waldheim - director of a cultural property foundation and a close friend of her grandfather's - brought the chain to Munich when the Colonel's henchmen track them down. Both escape the predicament, whereby Vincent reveals the identity of their pursuers after a chase: the killers are agents of the MAD , the colonel a corrupt secret service officer.

Vincent and Christin go into hiding with Gonzo , a former stunt buddy. Here Christin finds out another secret of the key, which together with clues from Waldheim leads to Hohenstein Castle , which was a base of operations for special forces at the time of National Socialism , and goes there. On site, both finally discover the hiding place of the Amber Room on the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön . The couple is ambushed by the colonel, where it also turns out that Waldheim is forced to be in league with the killers. While the professor is killed and Christin is captured, Vincent manages to escape.

With the help of Gonzo, Vincent then follows the Colonel's heels, is able to free Christin am Berg from the agents' violence and, with a little luck, discovers the entrance to the cave with her. In a crypt in which Hitler was apparently buried, the two finally find the fragments of the room that has been converted into a tomb. But the colonel gets ahead of them, steals the parts of the room and leaves Vincent and Christin tied up with a bomb. At the last moment, both can escape the booby trap.

The colonel tries to smuggle the room out of the country by plane, but is prevented from starting by Vincent and Christin with a truck. It comes to a showdown between Vincent and the Colonel, in which the plane, which has now taken off, crashes over a lake and the Colonel is killed.

Vincent and Christin survive the crash and eventually become a couple.

Reviews

“A German adventure film produced with a great deal of material, which shamelessly loots role models like the Indiana Jones series and continuously strings together stunt scenes that are useful in themselves. Never interested in inner credibility, he should only prove the acrobatic skills of the main actor, himself a stuntman. "

"Breathtaking action, daring stunts, fast car chases and lots of humor and self-irony are guaranteed."

- Dirk Jasper : Film Lexicon

"Fun and action picture from Germany with a friendly adventure plot, bold stunts and humor."
