Mario Irrek (born November 3, 1968 in Haan ) is a German actor .

biography

Mario Irrek was already active in the Düsseldorf punk scene as a young teenager and got to know the members of the rock band Die Toten Hosen there. Irrek played his first role in front of the camera in 1983 in the video clip for their song Eisgekühlter Bommerlunder .

In 1985, at the age of 16, he was cast as an amateur actor for the film Loser by Bernd Schadewald . He got the main role as "Mücke" alongside Ralf Richter and Campino . It was through this work that he discovered his passion for acting.

Without any acting training, Bernd Schadewald cast Irrek for two other roles, first in 1986 for a role in the episode Voll auf Haß of the television series Tatort , and seven years later for a part in the television film Schicksalsspiel . Further roles in cinema and television films followed. Irrek has also repeatedly stood in front of the camera under the direction of Volker Schlöndorff , including Die Stille nach dem Schuss (2000) and Das Meer am Morgen (2011).
