Cassidy (* 7. July 1982 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , actually Barry Adrian Reese ) is an American rapper .
Life
Cassidy grew up enjoying hip hop , which his parents were “obsessed with”. His father even put out a single that was played on local radio. He won a freestyle rap battle on a radio station in his hometown .
With his band Larsiny, which from him, at that time still “B. Cassidy ”, and his friends Shiz Lansky and Cal Akbar, he was under contract with the Ruff Ryders label . The rap producer Swizz Beatz signed him for his record label Full Surface in 2002 . In the same year, the first recordings for the compilation album G.HETTO Stories were made . The excerpt I'm a Hustla, nigga ask about me from the single of the same name, which he recorded with Mary J. Blige , originally comes from a rap from the song Dirt off Your Shoulder (2003) by Jay-Z .
Cassidy hit the headlines in June 2005 when an arrest warrant was issued against him. He was charged with participating in the murder of a 22-year-old man on April 15, 2005. He was sentenced to eleven to 23 months in prison. However, the seven months he has already been imprisoned are credited to him. He was released on March 2, 2006.

In 2007 Cassidy released his third album called BARS , in which he talked about his life and past, such as: B. told about his arrest. The second single from the album, Innocent (Misunderstood) reached number 3 in the charts in the R & B / Rap category.
