Winner of the Chicago Film Critics Association Awards in the category Best Actor (Best Actor) . Every year in mid-December, the American Film Critics Association announces its awards for the best film productions and filmmakers of the current calendar year. As in the case of the Oscar or Golden Globe awards, these are selected from five nominees.
The most successful in this category was the British-Irish actor Daniel Day-Lewis , who has won the award three times so far. The film critics' association was able to present the Oscar winner ten times in advance , most recently in 2013, when it presented the award to Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln .
