Jeremy Renner
Jeremy Lee Renner (born January 7, 1971 in Modesto , California ) is an American actor , musician and film producer . His roles in The Hurt Locker and The Town earned him two Academy Award nominations .
life and career
Jeremy Renner is the oldest of seven children. The parents, Valeria Tague and Lee Renner, married as young people and divorced in 1981. His ancestors are immigrant Germans and Irish.
Renner began acting at the age of 24 . He made his film debut with the 1995 comedy Die Chaos-Clique on a class trip . With his portrayal of the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the psychological thriller Dahmer published in 2002, he first caught the attention of critics and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award . Renner became known to a larger audience in 2007 through a leading role in the Juan Carlos Fresnadillo horror film 28 Weeks Later .
Kathryn Bigelow's award-winning war film The Hurt Locker - The Hurt Locker was for Renner breakthrough: For his role of Sergeant William James, he was at the Academy Awards 2010 as Best Actor nomination. At the 2011 Academy Awards he was nominated again, this time for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Ben Affleck's crime drama The Town .
Renner played the role of archer Hawkeye in the comic adaptations Thor (2011), Marvel's The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), The First Avenger: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Endgame (2019) . He made the fourth Bourne film, The Bourne Legacy , after Matt Damon . In 2013 he played Hansel in Hansel and Gretel: Witches Hunters , and in the same year he played in American Hustle . In the thriller Wind River by Taylor Sheridan , who as part of the January 21, 2017 Film Festival Sundance premiered, took Renner as an employee of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service a leading role.
In addition to his film roles, Renner appeared in various commercials (including for Duracell ) on US television and also in the music video Trouble by rock singer Pink .
In Germany it is mostly dubbed by Gerrit Schmidt-Foss .
Private
The daughter of Renner and his partner Sonni Pacheco was born in March 2013. After 10 months of marriage, the couple separated in December 2014. The divorce was not finalized until December 2015 due to disputes over custody and alimony.
