Sophie Theodore Countess von Dohna, b. von Holland-Brederode-Vianen was the daughter of a Nassau countess and a Dutch count. In April 1644, through her marriage to Count Christian Albrecht von Dohna-Schlobitten, she came to the residence of the Electorate of Brandenburg and in 1664 acquired Niederschönhausen and the land belonging to it for 3,000 thalers. She had her residence - the so-called Petit Palais - built on Gut Niederschönhausen and her husband drew the designs. The Countess couple let experts from Holland, the fatherland of Countess Sophie, drain the damp land on the Panke. When Count Dohna was appointed governor of Küstrin in 1669, the couple rarely used their country estate. After the countess's death, her sons sold the property for 4,000 thalers to the Prussian general privy councilor Joachim Ernst von Grumbkow .
