Christian Grommes

Christian Grommes (born August 31, 1884 in Diedenhofen , Alsace-Lorraine , † September 9, 1951 in Homburg ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Grommes studied law and passed both state law exams. In 1903 he became a member of the Strasbourg fraternity Arminia zu Tübingen during his studies . He did not belong to any party and was director of finance in the Saarland Administrative Commission (1946/47) and then from December 20, 1947 to April 14, 1951, Minister of Finance and Forests in the Saarland government led by Prime Minister Johannes Hoffmann (→ Cabinet Hoffmann I ).
