Helmut Bulle

Helmut Bulle (born January 1, 1925 in Riegelsberg ; † February 13, 1973 in Saarlouis ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1965 to 1968 he was Minister for Public Works and Housing, from 1967 to 1973 Minister for Finance and Forests of the Saarland .

After graduating from primary school, Bulle attended grammar schools in Landsweiler and Völklingen . He graduated from high school in 1943 and then took part in the Second World War as a soldier in the Navy . On April 20, 1943, he was admitted to the NSDAP ( membership number 9.654.153).

From 1946 Bulle attended a state higher technical institute, where he passed his civil engineering exam in 1949. He then worked as a structural engineer in the construction industry. From 1953 to 1965 worked as a civil servant (official builder) in the administration of the office of Bisten .

Bulle joined the CDU in 1953 and was one of the founders of the local association in Überherrn . From 1964 to 1973 he was chairman of the CDU district association Saarlouis. In the state elections in December 1960 , he was elected to the Saarland state parliament for the first time , to which he belonged from 1961 until his death.

On July 10, 1965, Bulle was appointed Minister for Public Works and Housing Construction of the Saarland to the state government led by Prime Minister Franz-Josef Röder ( Röder III cabinet ). He was in charge of the ministry until it was dissolved on January 31, 1968. After the death of Eugen Huthmacher , he was briefly in charge of the ministry for economy, transport and agriculture from June 13 to 22, 1967. On June 22, 1967, he was appointed Minister of Finance and Forests. He held this office from 1970 until his death in 1973 in Röder's fourth cabinet . During his tenure, he politically advocated Franco-German reconciliation.

Helmut Bulle was married and had five children. On February 13, 1973 he died of complications from longstanding cancer.
