Christian Kohmann (born September 7, 1974 in Ratingen ) is a German ice hockey player who first played for Moskitos Essen in the Oberliga West in the 2012/13 season . At the end of the transfer phase, he switched to league rivals Hammer Eisbären . During his career he worked for the Füchse Duisburg and the Frankfurt Lions from the German Ice Hockey League , among others .
Career
At the beginning of his career, Christian Kohmann played a total of four years in his hometown for the Ratinger Löwen . After he could not assert himself in the professional team, the trained striker ran for the U20 team of Ratinger Löwen in the 1994/95 season. There he impressed with his good performances and ended up being the top scorer with 74 points in 26 games. Only one season later, he got ice age in the DEL. However, he could not achieve any points in 12 games and moved to EV Duisburg in the middle of the 1995/96 season .
After this brief interlude with the foxes, for which he only wore the jersey twelve times, Kohmann joined the Mosquitoes Essen . He played here for six years and was an important support in the Essen storm. With the Mosktios, the offensive player was able to celebrate the championship of the 1998/99 season and then rose to the German Ice Hockey League. Kohmann stayed in Essen for another year and left the club at the end of the 1999/00 season . After all, the German was able to show a remarkable 135 points scorer in 258 games.
In the following years Christian Kohmann changed clubs twice. Stations were the Revierlöwen Oberhausen and the Schwenninger Wild Wings in the German Ice Hockey League.
For the 2003/04 season , the then 28-year-old signed a contract with the Frankfurt Lions . Kohmann reached the peak of his career in Frankfurt. In his very first season he surprisingly won the German championship with the lions . As a result of winning the championship, the left-handed shooter was allowed to start with the Lions in the European Champions Cup in 2005 .
After he only got a little ice age in his last season with the Lions, Kohmann switched to the Kassel Huskies in 2006 , with whom he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga in the same year .
In Kassel, too, he was only on the ice to a limited extent, but was able to celebrate his return to the German Ice Hockey League in 2008. Then Christian Kohmann left the Huskies and moved to the Ruhr area for the 2008/09 season for EHC Dortmund . There he took over the post of captain and rose with the club at the end of the season in the league . In the summer of 2009, those responsible for Moskitos Essen announced that they had signed the offensive player. With 81 points from 43 games, Kohmann had a large share in winning the Mosquito Regional League championship. For the 2010/11 season he moved back to his home club, the league club Ratinger Ice Aliens.
