Christian Bauer (2015)

Christian Richard Bauer (born September 11, 1984 in Hamburg ) is a German actor and singer .

Life

As a child, Bauer began to play at the Volksspielbühne Rissen in Hamburg, where he appeared in over 30 roles in a variety of plays. These included Christmas fairy tales , Low German comedies, but also The Thief Who Did Not Cause Damage by Dario Fo , Black Coffee by Agatha Christie and the Hamlet episode Prince of Denmark , as well as two Low German musicals. At twelve he was in his first leading role on the stage of the Hamburg cellar theater .

After graduating from high school, he first studied German and Low German literature as well as classical philology before taking up acting studies at the Hamburg School of Drama , with Michael Bogdanov , Jens Roth and Renate Bleibtreu , among others . At the same time he studied classical musical singing with Stephan Drakulich at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg, as well as classical singing of the Swedish-Italian school with Christian Halseband from the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences . In 2010 he completed his acting studies with the stage maturity diploma. At the Hildesheim theater he played Hans von Wittenstein in Jean Giraudoux's Undine .

During the last semester of his studies he was engaged at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin . Further engagements took him to Bonn, Braunschweig and on tours through Germany and Switzerland. As a puppeteer, he accompanied an opera production and a series of concerts for children and worked on a school project with Rolf Zuckowski to introduce children to music and the Low German language. The children's revue "Deertenhoff" was created. Since spring 2011 he has been playing at the Ohnsorg Theater in his hometown of Hamburg, including as Demetrius in Midsummer Night's Dream under the direction of Michael Bogdanov . In 2015 he was seen as Jean-Michel in the musical La Cage aux Folles at the side of Hardy Rudolz and worked with Heidi Mahler and Joachim Bliese . Since 2016 he has also been a guest at the Imperial Theater in Hamburg. He also translates texts by William Shakespeare into Low German.
