The Christoph-Schrempf-Gymnasium Besigheim (CSGB) is a high school in Besigheim , Ludwigsburg district . The school offers a natural science ( NwT ) and a linguistic profile with Italian and bilingual elements. The grammar school has its roots in the Latin School Besigheim , one of the oldest Latin schools in Württemberg , and with a school history of over 550 years it is one of the oldest schools in Germany .

The high school, located near the Besigheim secondary school, was attended by around 720 students in 2017. The catchment area of ​​the school also includes the neighboring towns of Hessigheim , Mundelsheim , Löchgau , Walheim , Freudental , Gemmrigheim and Ottmarsheim . On April 20, 1994, the Besigheimer Gymnasium was named after Christoph Schrempf . The school has awarded the Christoph Schrempf Prize for the best German Abitur since the 1990s . The headmaster is Frank Hielscher.
