Christoph Zadra

Christoph Zadra (* 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Training and initial engagements

Christoph Zadra comes from Vienna. In 1987 he completed his acting training with an acting diploma from the Joint Stage Commission in Vienna. In January 2002 he was awarded the Karl Skraup Prize for outstanding young talent in the 2000/01 theater season.

During and after his training, Zadra had theater engagements at the Theater an der Wien (1985/86 season), the Regensburg Municipal Theaters (1988/89 season), the Lucerne City Theater (1990–1993), the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden (1993–1996) , at the Volkstheater Wien (1999–2005) and at the Stadttheater Koblenz (first time in 2002).

His stage roles during this time included the title role in Don Karlos (Stadttheater Luzern), Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Stadttheater Luzern), Fritz in Liebelei (Stadttheater Luzern), Oswald in Gespenster (Staatstheater Wiesbaden), Merkur in Amphitryon (season 1993/94, Staatstheater Wiesbaden) and Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew (Staatstheater Wiesbaden).

Volkstheater Vienna

In 1999 he was engaged at the Volkstheater Wien under the direction of Emmy Werner . In June 2000 he was part of the premiere cast of the German-language premiere of the play Das Blut by the Catalan author Sergi Belbel . Theater stations

In 2007 he appeared in Annegret Ritzel's Maria Stuart production at the Koblenz Theater as Count Leicester with Madeleine Niesche as a partner. In the 2007/08 season he played Stanley Kowalski in Endstation Sehnsucht at the Koblenz Theater , also alongside Madeleine Niesche . In the 2014/15 season he was the Brazilian fiancé José in a stage version of Breakfast at Tiffany's (Austrian premiere) in the Kammerspiele of the theater in der Josefstadt.

Summer theater

Zadra has also appeared at Austrian summer theaters, such as the Stockerau Festival . In 2010 he played the gangster King Marchan at the side of Alfons Haider in the musical Victor / Victoria .

Since 2011 he has appeared at the Reichenau Festival every year . In 2011 he was Count Lelio Spannocchi in Colonel Redl . In 2012 he played one of Hofmiller's fellow officers there in impatience . He took part in Austrian and German television productions, where he had several episode roles in various television series ( Commissioner Rex , Julia - An Unusual Woman , Der Winzerkönig ). In the 10th season of the Austrian TV series SOKO Kitzbühel (2011), Zadra played one of the main roles in the episode as the caretaker of a 17-year-old murdered girl.
