The Communauté de communes Pyrénées Haut Garonnaises is a French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region . It was founded on December 16, 2016 and comprises 76 municipalities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in Gourdan-Polignan .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

  • Communauté de communes du Canton de Saint-Béat ,
  • Communauté de communes du Haut Comminges and
  • Communauté de communes du Pays de Luchon .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Saint-Béat and Lez became part of the Commune nouvelle Saint-Béat-Lez . This reduced the number of member communities to 76.
