Chaum is located in a wooded landscape of the Pyrenees . In the west and south the Garonne forms the municipal boundaries. Neighboring municipalities are Fronsac in the north, Moncaup (point of contact) in the northeast, Bezins-Garraux in the east, Eup and Saint-Béat-Lez in the southeast, Marignac in the south, Cierp-Gaud in the southwest and Esténos in the west.
