Sauveterre-de-Comminges ( Occitan : Sauvatèrra de Comenge ) is a French commune with 634 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Gaudens and the association of communes Pyrénées Haut Garonnaises founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called Sauveterriens .

Sauveterre-de-Comminges is in the Comminges countryside , about ten kilometers southwest of Saint-Gaudens . Sauveterre-de-Comminges is surrounded by the neighboring communities Ardiège and Labarthe-Rivière in the north, Aspret-Sarrat in the northeast, Régades in the east and northeast, Payssous in the east, Malvezie in the south and southeast, Génos in the south, Mont-de-Galié and Galié in the southwest, Luscan in the west and southwest, Barbazan in the west and Cier-de-Rivière in the northwest.
