Izaut-de-l'Hôtel is a French commune with 314 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Saint-Gaudens and to the municipal association Cagire Garonne Salat, founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called Izautois .
geography
Izaut-de-l'Hôtel is located in the Pyrenees in the south of the historic province of Comminges , about 15 kilometers south of Saint-Gaudens . The wooded area of the municipality is located in a basin formed by the confluence of the Ruisseau de Bayech with the Job River and the mountains that flank the basin. The job drains to the ger in the Garonne catchment area . The hamlets of Jordis, Peyregude, Peyre d'Arles and Hountau as well as some individual farms belong to the municipality . Izaut-de-l'Hôtel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cabanac-Cazaux in the north, Encausse-les-Thermes (point of contact) in the northeast, Aspet in the east, Sengouagnet in the southeast, Juzet-d'Izaut in the south, Arbon in the southwest, Malvezie in the west and Payssous in the northwest.
