Miramont-de-Comminges ( Occitan Miramont de Commenge ) is a French commune with 780 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region ; it is part of the arrondissement of Saint-Gaudens and the canton of Saint-Gaudens . The inhabitants are called Miramontais .
geography
Miramont-de-Comminges is located in the historic province of Comminges at the foot of the Pyrenees and on the banks of the Garonne , about 80 kilometers southwest of Toulouse . Miramont-de-Comminges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Gaudens in the north and west, Estancarbon in the north and north-east, Pointis-Inard in the east and south-east, Encausse-les-Thermes in the south and Aspret-Sarrat in the south-west.
