Cabanac-Cazaux is a French commune with 126 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). The inhabitants are known as Cabanacois .

The municipality is located in Comminges , eleven kilometers south of Saint-Gaudens , at the foot of the Pyrenees and on the Job River .

Neighboring municipalities are: Encausse-les-Thermes , Aspet , Izaut-de-l'Hôtel , Payssous and Régades .

history

The place belonged for a long time to the municipality of Encausse-les-Thermes .

The community Cabanac-Cazaux is formed by the districts Cabanac and Cazaux, each of which had a castle. Only the ruins of the castle of Cazaux remain.
