Blajan ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 504 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ); it is part of the arrondissement of Saint-Gaudens and the canton of Saint-Gaudens (until 2015 Boulogne-sur-Gesse ). The inhabitants are called Blajanais .

geography

Blajan is located in the historic province of Comminges at the foot of the Pyrenees , about 70 kilometers southwest of Toulouse . Blajan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Boulogne-sur-Gesse in the north, Saint-Pé-Delbosc in the east and northeast, Charlas in the east and southeast, Lespugue in the south and southeast, Montmaurin in the south, Nizan-Gesse in the southwest and Gensac-de- Boulogne to the west and northwest.
