Cassagne ( Occitan Cassanha ) is a French commune with 634 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Gaudens and the canton of Bagnères-de-Luchon (until 2015 Salies-du-Salat ). The inhabitants are called Cassagnards .

location

Cassagne is located about 69 kilometers south-southwest of Toulouse on the Salat , which borders the municipality in the west and into which the Lens flows here. Cassagne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roquefort-sur-Garonne in the north, Belbèze-en-Comminges in the east, Escoulis in the south-east, Betchat and Marsoulas in the south, Salies-du-Salat in the south-west and Mazères-sur-Salat in the west.
